Samsung Biologics announced on the 30th that it will participate in the world’s largest bio and pharmaceutical exhibition, the ‘2023 BIO International Convention (BIO USA).’
BIO USA is an event organized annually by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) in major U.S. cities with bio clusters. It serves as a platform where the global bio and pharmaceutical industries gather to discuss partnerships. This year, it will be held for four days from June 5 to 8 (local time) in Boston, USA, under the theme ‘Stand up for Science.’ More than 1,500 companies and over 15,000 attendees are expected to visit the venue.
Samsung Biologics, participating with a solo booth for 11 consecutive years since its establishment, will set up a large-scale booth (167㎡) in a prime location at the exhibition hall, matching its world’s largest production capacity of 604,000 liters. It is the second largest booth among participating companies.
In particular, Samsung Biologics has chosen ‘Your Sustainable Partner’ as the theme for this booth and explained that all booth materials are made from eco-friendly resources such as wood, stone, fabric, and recycled materials, minimizing the use of plastic. Instead of traditional printed brochures, visitors will be provided with digital brochures via QR codes and eco-friendly souvenirs, focusing on communicating the vision and commitment to ‘sustainable contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO).’
The booth will introduce the world’s largest production capacity, differentiated competitiveness of the contract development (CDO) platform, and an expanded portfolio including antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) and messenger RNA (mRNA) through LED panels and wall graphics. On one side of the booth, three meeting rooms for client meetings and a lounge space for on-site customer support will be separately arranged to facilitate active partnership discussions.
Samsung Biologics will also install banner advertisements in key areas of the exhibition hall and focus on enhancing brand image by placing phrases that highlight Samsung Biologics’ unique competitiveness on the entire staircase at the main entrance of the exhibition hall.

Meanwhile, during the event, Samsung Biologics plans to hold meetings with existing and potential clients to promote the company’s competitiveness and pursue collaborations in various fields.
On the third day of the event, June 7, Samsung Biologics will co-sponsor the Main Reception hosted by BIO International along with Genentech and Avanto, and actively engage with key figures in the bio-pharmaceutical industry. The reception, held at the MGM Fenway Music Hall, is expected to gather over 3,500 industry professionals for information exchange and partnership discussions.
