Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) and the Dobong Cultural Foundation announced that the 'Seoul Youth Center Dobong Orang' for tailored comprehensive youth support was opened on the 26th.
Seoul Youth Center Dobong Orang, meaning "Youth Today, You and I Together," is a comprehensive youth policy support center that holistically understands the state of youth and provides various policies and services to ensure that the lives of young people are fully respected.
Dobong Orang has a total floor area of 440.97㎡ and is a standalone two-story container building located just a one-minute walk from Exit 1 of Chang-dong Station, making it easily accessible for youth.
Youth aged 19 to 39 can freely use the center. It operates on weekdays from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
The first floor includes a social lounge where youth can study and relax, a shared kitchen, and program rooms. The second floor houses spaces for youth startup activities, an employment studio for one-on-one video interviews and online broadcasting, and the Orang Counseling Room.
Youth support managers are stationed at the center to provide customized comprehensive counseling on various issues or conditions such as employment, education advancement, and psychological problems directly on site.
Additionally, to assist youth in entering society, the center collects and provides various youth-related information from the government and local governments.
Starting from its opening on the 26th, Dobong Orang plans to actively support youth self-development programs and services by operating youth network programs such as monthly one-day classes and activities related to specific themes, as well as the weekly '2 o'clock Tea Talk' program where youth engage in conversations on various topics.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "Through Dobong Orang, we plan to generously support local youth not only by providing comprehensive information but also by supporting employment, independence, and community activities from multiple perspectives."
