'From Work Experience to Regular Employment'... Gyeonggi Youth Job Matchup 2nd Recruitment Youth Job Matchup Poster of Gyeonggi Province

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation are recruiting the second round of participants for the 'Gyeonggi Youth Job Matchup' project, which connects unemployed youth with outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and supports their transition to full-time employment, until June 14.

This project operates by having young job seekers work (gain job experience) at matched companies for three months, after which the companies conduct their own evaluations to hire the individuals as full-time employees.

Gyeonggi Province supports 2.4 million KRW of the three-month labor cost at the level of the Gyeonggi living wage that companies must bear. Additionally, youth connected to companies receive basic training such as business manners and labor law, workplace adaptation consulting, and customized job training programs using the JobKorea Learning Center to enhance their capabilities.

In this second recruitment, 24 companies selected through a three-stage screening process including 'document evaluation → on-site inspection → final evaluation by the review committee' in April and May will hire youth to work in fields such as information technology (IT), machinery, sales, and marketing.

From this second round of company recruitment, Gyeonggi Province has incorporated factors that youth consider important when choosing companies?such as employment stability, work-life balance (WLB), and welfare benefits?into the evaluation criteria to select youth-friendly companies.

In particular, targeted promotion using banner ads within the Toss app will be conducted by analyzing big data such as residence, age, and consumption patterns to actively encourage participation of youth job seekers in the province.

An Chi-kwon, Director of the Job and Economic Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through the Matchup project, we provide youth with opportunities to work at excellent companies and companies with opportunities to hire outstanding talent, so that both youth and companies can benefit. We will continue to work closely with the Job Foundation and the private sector."

Youth job seekers aged 18 to 39 residing in Gyeonggi Province who wish to participate can apply through the online job matching platform JobKorea by June 14.

Gyeonggi Province achieved results in the first round of this year’s project by connecting 21 youth with 12 companies.
