On the 28th, Asiana Airlines began accepting damage claims for the "emergency exit door opening accident" at the "Aircraft Use Damage Relief Reception Desk," which operates continuously on the first floor counter of Daegu International Airport.
In addition to Daegu Airport, damage relief reception desks at other regional airports and Asiana Airlines itself are also identifying the damage details of passengers. Based on the received damage reports, Asiana Airlines plans to provide maximum support measures such as medical expense assistance to passengers affected by the accident.
So far, two damage claims related to this accident have been reported. Asiana Airlines explained that these were received through the wired telephone network of the Asiana Airlines office connected to Daegu Airport.
Asiana Airlines has confirmed these individuals as specific victims, reviewed a series of requests, and promised support such as medical expense assistance. A comprehensive relief plan will also be presented soon.
