Mapo-gu Receives 2,101 Books through Agreement with Gukhak Data Center


Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) announced on the afternoon of the 26th that it has signed a business agreement with Gukhakjaryowon Publishing to promote a reading culture.


The agreement ceremony was attended by Mayor Park Gang-su and Gukhakjaryowon Director Jeong Chan-yong, who pledged mutual cooperation on book publishing for Mapo residents and projects to promote the history and culture of Mapo-gu.


According to the agreement, 2,101 humanities and history books donated by Gukhakjaryowon will be moved to Mapo Central Library and made available for reading within the year.


Mayor Park Gang-su presented a plaque of appreciation to the director of Gukhakjaryowon as a token of gratitude on the day.


Mayor Park Gang-su said, “We are grateful to Gukhakjaryowon for donating excellent books to Mapo-gu, which actively operates nine small libraries as well as Mapo Central Library,” and added, “We hope this agreement will serve as a stepping stone for mutual cooperation to promote reading culture and regional cultural development.”
