Hyundai Card's flagship product, 'Hyundai Card M,' has turned twenty. It has driven Hyundai Card's growth and has been issued over 30 million times.

Hyundai Card announced on the 26th that 'Hyundai Card M' has reached its 20th anniversary since its launch. Since its release in May 2003, the cumulative number of Hyundai Card M members has reached 8.96 million over 20 years. These members have been issued a total of 31.85 million cards. This is the result of gaining popularity with a higher-than-industry-average reward rate at the time of launch, establishing itself as a representative product.

With the success of Hyundai Card M, Hyundai Card's market share (based on credit sales) also surged. It was only 1.8% before the launch in 2002, but increased about sevenfold to 12.5% in 2006, three years after the launch.

The cumulative number of members who have earned ‘M Points,’ which started with Hyundai Card M and is now applied to all Hyundai Card’s point-accumulating credit cards, has reached 11.3 million. The total points used by these customers have been counted at 7.0465 trillion points.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Card is running the ‘Hyundai Card M 20TH BIRTHDAY’ campaign until the 14th of next month to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hyundai Card M. During this period, customers can re-earn up to 100% of the M Points used when paying at specific merchants in dining, shopping, leisure, and more.

In the M Points members-only online shopping space, 'M Mall,' limited edition special-priced products and souvenirs are also sold. Notable items include a limited edition plate inspired by the first ‘Hyundai Card M’ launched in 2003 and a 20th-anniversary exclusive card package.

The Hyundai Card application (app) also features a report summarizing the past indicators of Hyundai Card M called 'Hyundai Card M History.'
