"Let's Bet 1 Billion"... Lee Jun-seok Announces Strong Response to Renewed 'Harvard' Academic Controversy

Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok strongly warned of a forceful response to the sudden controversy over his academic background, saying, "Let's bet 1 billion won."

On the 25th, Lee shared articles about the controversy over his academic background on his social media (SNS), criticizing it as a "repetitive Tazinyeo game every season."

"Let's Bet 1 Billion"... Lee Jun-seok Announces Strong Response to Renewed 'Harvard' Academic Controversy

Tazinyeo is an abbreviation for the group "We Demand the Truth from Tablo," whose members raised suspicions of academic fraud against singer Tablo and were sentenced to prison for spreading false information.

Lee's mention of "Tazinyeo" appears to emphasize that the suspicions against him are also false allegations. He raised his voice, saying, "This matter was thoroughly investigated by authorities, including the report cards you want, graduation certificates, and verification of access to the alumni site," adding, "There is also a thesis they are looking for. Of course, I did not plagiarize; it was original research."

Conservative YouTubers raised suspicions of academic fraud, claiming "Harvard does not offer double majors," but Lee proposed, "How about betting 1 billion won on whether my Harvard graduation or double major in Computer Science and Economics is false? If I am lying, I will pay 1 billion won; if not, you pay."

He also shared an email address to receive tips from those spreading false information, saying, "I have already sued all the YouTubers who raised these suspicions. They haven't received the summons yet, so they are still not coming to their senses."

In another SNS post, he shared a past explanation, saying, "Since these fools follow a pattern, they will come out with the same pattern anyway, so I am resharing it in advance," and additionally posted, "The Transcript they keep asking me to issue," sharing his report card.
