[2023 Apartment Brand Awards] Hanwha Corporation Construction Division Enhances 'Forena' Value with Excellent Location and Landscaping

Award in the Power Brand Category

This year, Hanwha Corporation's Construction Division, which won the Power Brand category at the Asia Economy Apartment Brand Awards, is enhancing the value of 'Forena' through excellent location and differentiated landscaping and specialized design.

‘Forena Pyeongtaek Hwayang,’ supplied in the Hwayang district of Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, is now in the final stages of contract closing. This complex is being developed with 10 buildings ranging from 2 basement floors to 29 above-ground floors, totaling 995 households with exclusive areas of 74 to 99㎡. It is the first time that an area exceeding 84㎡ has been introduced in the Hwayang district.

The Hwayang district, where the complex is located, boasts the largest scale among private-led urban development projects in Korea. The area is being developed on a scale of 2,792,500㎡, comparable to Yeouido in Seoul (approximately 2.9 million㎡), and once development is completed, it is expected to become the representative central residential area of West Pyeongtaek, housing about 20,000 households and 53,000 residents.

In particular, several development benefits are accelerating in the West Pyeongtaek area near the Hwayang district, raising expectations for high future value. First, the Hwayang district is close to Anjung Station on the Seohae Line double-track railway, scheduled to open in 2023. The Seohae Line is planned to be directly connected to the KTX Gyeongbu Line by 2028, enabling travel from Anjung Station to Seoul in about 30 minutes without transfers via KTX.

The semiconductor factory expansion plan at Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Campus, which allows commuting within about 30 minutes, is also considered a positive factor.

When three more lines are built, totaling six lines, it is expected to generate employment effects for more than 1.3 million people and production inducement effects of 550 trillion KRW.

Forena Pyeongtaek Hwayang also boasts differentiated landscaping design. It is a car-free park-type complex on the ground, harmoniously arranging various themed rest facilities. Various facilities such as the water garden, a water feature space, ‘Merry Kids Ground’ (themed playground), ‘Vital Court’ (resident exercise space), ‘Cafe Breeze’ (central plaza), and ‘Pet Garden’ (dog playground) are provided. Move-in is scheduled for November 2025.

Specialized designs for each household type also stand out. The exclusive 74㎡ units (281 households) are mainly designed with a 4-bay slab-type cross-ventilation structure, providing excellent lighting and ventilation. The 84㎡ units (568 households) also enhance space utilization by adding dressing rooms and alpha rooms depending on the type. The exclusive 99㎡ units (146 households), introduced for the first time in the Hwayang district as medium-to-large floor plans, include three rooms plus an alpha room. Move-in for these apartments is scheduled for November 2025.
