The hit song "Butter" by the group BTS has been selected as the "Foreign Work Award" of the year by the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC).

According to the copyright royalty distribution amount compiled by JASRAC over one year until March this year, BTS's "Butter" recorded the highest amount among foreign music.

The 3rd and 4th places in copyright royalty distribution were also taken by BTS's "Permission to Dance" and "Dynamite." "Dynamite" received the "Foreign Work Award" from the association last year.

The 2nd place this year was taken by the British group Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now."

The association has been awarding Japanese and overseas works separately every year based on the amount of copyright royalty distribution since 1982.
