Military Service Also Planned! ... Silla University Wraps Up 'Visiting Military Career Planning'

Shilla University conducted the ‘Visiting Military Service Career Planning’ program in collaboration with the Busan·Ulsan Regional Military Manpower Administration Military Service Career Planning Support Center for young people preparing for enlistment.

From April 6 to May 24, Shilla University held the ‘Visiting Military Service Career Planning’ program four times at the university’s Engineering Building and Humanities Building.

Military service career planning is a program that supports individuals in identifying their interests in specific military duties or fields by considering their personality, abilities, interests, and experiences, and helps them establish plans to acquire necessary education or certifications to build a career in those fields.

During the program, students consulted with professional counselors from the Busan·Ulsan Regional Military Manpower Administration Military Service Career Planning Support Center to systematically design their military service and post-discharge career paths based on their aptitudes and majors before enlistment.

Baek Il-gwon, director of the Shilla University University Job Plus Center, said, “This program seems to have contributed to providing information necessary for selecting military career paths suited to individual personalities and abilities, offering opportunities for self-development and growth during military service, and improving satisfaction with military service.”

He added, “We hope that many young people will continue to participate in various competency programs conducted by the University Job Plus Center to prepare successfully for employment and strengthen their capabilities.”
