Eunpyeong-gu to Open Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool on June 2... Pilot Operation Throughout June

Free Access with Advance Reservations During Pilot Period... Open for Free Swimming Only Three Times a Week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that the Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool will open on June 2 and undergo pilot operation throughout June.

The newly opened Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool features a dedicated area of 798.2㎡, a 20-meter 5-lane swimming pool, separate male and female changing rooms, shower rooms, an office, and an instructor’s room.

Located on the first floor of Hoban Verdiumn Stay One, a youth housing complex in Daejo-dong, the facility is operated by the Eunpyeong-gu Sports Council, selected through a public private consignment recruitment.

The pilot operation period runs from June 2 to the end of the month, offering free swimming only. It is open free of charge to Eunpyeong-gu residents through first-come, first-served advance reservations.

To ensure user safety and facility maintenance, the pool operates three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and will be closed on June 7, the day of the opening ceremony. There are three sessions per day, with a capacity of 40 people per session.

Advance reservations will be accepted in two phases: the first from May 26 to June 16, and the second from June 12 to 30. Online reservations can be made through the Eunpyeong-gu Sports Council website, and on-site reservations are accepted at the Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool. To allow more residents to use the facility, usage is limited to one session per person.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, “The operation of the Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool is expected to satisfy residents’ demand for swimming facilities, a popular sport among the public,” adding, “We will do our best to operate the swimming pool in collaboration with the entrusted organization, the Eunpyeong-gu Sports Council, so that Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool can become a key public sports facility and promote community sports in our district.”
