hy, Refreshingly Enjoying Summer... Launch of 'Sparkling Yakult Zero'

hy is launching a low-calorie carbonated beverage called ‘Sparkling Yakult Zero’ (hereinafter Sparkling Zero).


Sparkling Zero is the successor to the ‘Sparkling Yakult’ introduced in 2019. It reinterpreted the representative health drink Yakult as a carbonated beverage, gaining great popularity with 2 million bottles sold within four months of its launch.


The biggest feature of the new product is zero calories. By using the alternative sweetener ‘allulose,’ it maintains the taste while reducing the burden. It also considers health by containing probiotic concentrated powder based on hy’s probiotic technology.


With abundant carbonation, it pairs well with other foods like sparkling wine. Mixing it with fruit concentrates or other ingredients according to preference creates new menu options.


Kim Il-gon, head of hy’s dairy product CM team, said, “Sparkling Yakult, which was loved for its overflowing refreshing sensation, has been newly launched reflecting the health-conscious trend. We hope everyone enjoys a cool summer with Sparkling Yakult Zero, a product familiar to all but enhanced with the latest trends.”


Sparkling Yakult Zero will be available nationwide through Fresh Managers starting on the 25th. From the 1st of next month, it will also be available for purchase on hy’s online mall, Predit.


Meanwhile, hy’s flagship product ‘Yakult’ is the first fermented milk product introduced in Korea in 1971. Starting with 7.6 million units sold in its first year, cumulative sales are approaching 50 billion units. In 2021, it received certification as a health functional food.
