Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 22nd that the ‘2023 Neulpureun Youth Culture Festival’ was successfully concluded on the 20th at the special stage by the Cheonbyeon River in Jeongeup, with the participation of over 400 youths and citizens.
Hosted and organized by the Korean BBS Jeonbuk Federation Jeongeup Branch (President Baek Yeon-gyu) and sponsored by Jeongeup City, the Neulpureun Youth Culture Festival was held as a stage where young people could freely showcase their cultivated cultural and artistic talents and skills, encouraging youth cultural activities and supporting healthy growth.

At this event, in celebration of May as Youth Month, the Youth Charter was read aloud, and commendations from the Jeongeup Mayor were awarded to four individuals recognized for their contributions to youth guidance, protection, and development, as well as to four exemplary youths.
The recipients for contributions to youth guidance, protection, and development were Kim Mi-ja from the Youth Culture and Sports Center, Cha Seon-ja from the Youth After-School Academy, Park Chun-sik from BBS, and Noh Se-ryeon from the Jeongeup Wi Center. The exemplary youths awarded were Jeong Min-seok from Shintaein High School, Go Yo-han from Honam High School, Han Seon-woo, and Kim Ju-gwang from Ipyeong Middle School.
Fifteen teams composed of Jeongeup youth, including dance, vocal, and rock band groups, participated in the competition, proudly displaying their honed skills and receiving great applause from the citizens.
As a side event, the Youth Harmony Yard event (hosted by the Youth Culture and Sports Center) featured 21 diverse experience booths, including 3D puzzles, making stag beetle robots, face painting, and youth anti-smoking campaign activities, which attracted high participation from the youth.
Mayor Lee Hak-su said, “I hope that in this festival where youths take the lead to fully express their talents and skills, you can shake off all the fatigue and stress accumulated from focusing on your studies. The future belongs to you, the youth, and Jeongeup City will do its best to help you freely pursue your dreams and hopes.”
Held annually alongside the Jeongeup Youth Harmony Yard, the Neulpureun Youth Culture Festival has established itself as a stage of dreams and passion where youths can freely demonstrate their cultivated talents and skills.
