Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention training attended by 40 senior public officials of grade 5 and above in the large conference room of the county office.
The training held on the 19th invited Heo Young-hee, a professional instructor from the Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, to provide customized lectures focused on real cases to enhance correct understanding of sexual harassment and sexual violence and improve response capabilities for accident prevention.

Before the training began, all senior public officials read aloud the ‘Resolution for Practicing the Creation of a Gender-Equal Organizational Culture,’ pledging to take the lead in fostering a healthy workplace culture.
County Governor Jang Chung-nam stated, “To create a healthy and creative organization, we must build an atmosphere of mutual respect together, and in that process, the leadership of senior public officials is more important than anything else.”
Namhae-gun is promoting the four major violence prevention education for all employees and is making efforts to foster a healthy organizational culture by operating a counseling center for sexual harassment and sexual violence grievances.
