Socar is entering the accommodation reservation market.
On the 22nd, Socar announced the official launch of ‘Socar Stay,’ a service that allows simultaneous car-sharing and reservations at 25,000 hotels and resorts nationwide. By using this service, users can check, book, and pay for car-sharing at the nearest Socar zone and various accommodation facilities such as hotels and resorts across the country, with discounted prices, depending on their travel or business trip purposes.
Socar Stay is the only service that enables one-stop booking of transportation and accommodation within a single app. In the case of online travel agencies, if users want to book a car for transportation in addition to accommodation, they must install a linked third-party app, visit a website, or make a phone call. In contrast, Socar enhances customer convenience by allowing real-time confirmation of availability and prices of desired accommodations and selection and reservation of vehicles for transportation.
A distinctive feature is Socar’s bundled product discount system. The KTX bundle product launched last January gained popularity by offering greater discounts when purchasing combined transportation options. Socar Stay also provides various discount benefits when booking products that combine accommodation with car-sharing.
Additional exclusive benefits and events are also held separately for Mobility Membership Passport members. By combining with KTX, electric bicycle service Elecle, and the online parking platform Moduui Parking Lot, Socar aims not only to enhance customer convenience but also to contribute to regional economic revitalization through promoting tourism consumption.
Customers who wish to use the service can click on Socar Stay in the Socar app, then sequentially select hotels and resorts in the desired area for their stay and the car-sharing service they want to use. Booking accommodation alone is also possible. As a launch event, when booking a combined accommodation and car-sharing product, a 24-hour free Socar rental coupon (one per reservation) will be provided until the end of August. When paying with the Socar Card, up to 5% credit that can be used like cash in the app is accumulated. Depending on the purpose of use, customers can also use the ‘Bureum’ service, which allows picking up and returning vehicles at desired locations.
