Samsung Biologics announced on the 21st that it held an event inviting employees' children in celebration of Family Month.

This event, prepared to foster harmony among employees' families, was held on the 20th at Samsung Biologics' 1st Bio Campus in Songdo International City, Incheon. Approximately 900 employees' family members participated in the event.

Samsung Biologics conducted the event with an amusement park theme. Various experiential activities and events were arranged so that employees' children could directly experience the company and easily and enjoyably understand their parents' work.

First, a mini train was installed within the 238,000㎡ campus, allowing children to ride the train and tour the business site. Additionally, all buildings were opened freely so that visitors could explore the office spaces. Photo zones were set up throughout the Bio Campus for families to take pictures together. Popular activities for children such as air bounce, balloon art, and feeding koi fish were also held.

In particular, programs using bio-industry-related items, such as making snow globes with vials (medicine storage containers) and gown-wearing experiences, were provided to help children develop interest and curiosity about their parents' work. Furthermore, as part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management practices, eco-friendly experiential activities such as making keyrings using leftover coffee grounds were also conducted.

Samsung Biologics holds family invitation events to provide opportunities to enhance understanding and empathy about the workplace among family members and to boost employees' sense of belonging and pride. After receiving great responses from employees at the first event held last November, this year the event is divided into spring and autumn sessions for children and parents respectively, allowing more families to participate.
