Today's course to introduce is Gangdong Station on Seoul Subway Line 5. Gangdong Station, along with the nearby Cheonho Station area, is considered the commercial center of Gangdong-gu. Skyscrapers line both sides of Cheonho-daero, but behind them coexist small residential neighborhoods, traditional markets full of local charm, and alleys. Hidden eateries here stimulate your appetite even while walking.

One of the specialties of this area is Gangpul Manhwa Street. Gangpul Manhwa Street, infused with the works of famous webtoon artist Kang Full, has established itself as a representative public art spot. If you exit from Gangdong Station Exit 4 and walk a little, you can leisurely enjoy 52 works by Kang Full. Along the path from Manhwa Street to Seongnae Market and Jjukkumi Alley, cafes are located throughout the alleys, making it a hidden gem where you can enjoy desserts at affordable prices.

Seongnae Market is too interesting to just pass by. There are fun painted signboards in every corner, and you can feel the unique food and warmth of the market. If you pass through Seongnae Market and head toward Cheonho Station, you will come across Seongnae-dong Jjukkumi Alley. Here, about ten jjukkumi (webfoot octopus) restaurants are clustered and thriving. Despite saying "spicy, spicy," you can fall into the charm of jjukkumi that makes you come back again.

Crossing to the opposite side onto the main road (Cheonho-daero) leads you directly to Cheonho Rodeo Street. It is the largest bustling area and a 'hot place' in Gangdong-gu. With nearby Hyundai Department Store Cheonho Branch and E-Mart, it is a shopping hub filled with cafes and restaurants, always crowded with many visitors.
