VT GMP Participates in China Beauty Expo... CEO Jeong Cheol Personally Showcases New Products

Marking its 27th edition this year, the expo was the first event to resume since the COVID-19 pandemic and was held over three days starting from the 12th. Over 3,600 brands from 40 countries and approximately 400,000 cosmetics industry professionals attended.

The China Beauty Expo is one of the world's top three beauty expos where global brands, cosmetics manufacturers, and buyers gather to showcase the latest trends, products, and technologies in the cosmetics and beauty market. VT's CEO, Jeong Cheol, personally attended the event to introduce the new cosmetics lines, 'Cica Retinol Line' and 'Lidleshot Line.'

At the expo, VT conducted on-site sales of popular key products in China such as the 'Cica Mild Foam Cleanser' and 'Cica Spot Patch' through live broadcasts. They also introduced new products including the 'Lidleshot Line,' 'Cica Airy Fit Cushion,' and 'Essence Sun Pact.' In particular, the 'Cica Airy Fit Cushion' received enthusiastic responses from industry insiders regarding both its packaging and contents.

With the government's active export support initiatives, the position of K-Beauty in the Chinese market is expected to gradually recover. At the '2nd Pan-Ministerial Export Situation Review Meeting' held on the 16th, it was announced that focused support would be provided for the export of 30 promising items, including cosmetics, to overcome export sluggishness.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is working to ease regulations such as China's approval and registration processes, which have been obstacles to Korean cosmetics exports, through continuous consultations with China, and to strengthen cooperation in the cosmetics sector between Korea and China.

A VT representative stated, “We successfully launched the 'Cica Line' at the 2017 China Beauty Expo, increasing our influence within China. Although K-Beauty is still sluggish in China, we plan to revitalize sales through live broadcasts with Chinese influencers, focusing on products that have already obtained Chinese sanitary permits as well as new products, in line with the government's policy to support the revitalization of the cosmetics industry.”
