The ‘Nongshim Shin(naneun) Symphony Music Group’ consists of 18 members with developmental disabilities. As part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, Nongshim plans to employ these individuals as staff and support their musical activities. The music group includes various parts such as piano, cello, guitar, saxophone, drums, vocal, and singing. In the future, they will actively participate in performances at schools nationwide, social welfare facilities, local festivals, and Nongshim’s internal events to promote awareness and improve perceptions of disabilities.
A Nongshim representative stated, “We established the music group to support artists with disabilities who are nurturing their dreams as musicians, while also aiming to improve societal prejudices against people with disabilities. We especially hope that the activities of the group members will help them achieve some degree of self-realization.”
