Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Healthcare App 'Anyfit Plus'
Supports User Habits and Health Management
Set Goals Together and Feel a Sense of Achievement
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's healthcare application (app) 'Anyfit Plus' has been significantly improved. It has enhanced personalized features to allow users to check their optimal stride length while walking, and it also enables users to set goals and experience a sense of achievement together with people around them. Furthermore, it now links with supplement recommendations, caregiving, and long-term care services, making it possible to manage health throughout the life cycle.
After installing the revamped Anyfit Plus and completing various settings, I accessed it directly. The first screen presented exercise goals and record goals. The exercise goals consisted of walking, running, and cycling. After taking a short walk around the Yeouido area, the calories burned per step and foods containing equivalent calories were displayed at the bottom.
Up to this point, it was no different from typical pedometer applications. Anyfit Plus differentiates itself with its record goals. Record goals are designed to allow users to consistently log their status and directly monitor changes in their health condition. The record goals, located at the very top of the first screen, include ▲Diet ▲Medication & Supplements ▲Alcohol & Smoking Cessation ▲Blood Pressure & Blood Sugar. Selecting Diet allows users to set a target weight and record their weight daily. It provides various diet programs, including appropriate weight and meal plans, to help achieve the goal.
The Medication & Supplements goal works similarly. Users input the types of medications or supplements and set the times to take them, and the app notifies them when it's time to take the doses. For supplements, it can also retrieve purchase history and recommend suitable supplements.
Users can import existing health checkup results to plan long-term lifestyle improvements. The app estimates the current cardiovascular age and suggests a target cardiovascular age. Users can freely set goals to reduce their vascular age. Exercise plans can be self-set to achievable levels, such as walking 8,000 steps daily for more than five days a week, recording weight three times a week, and measuring blood pressure daily.
Recently, a 'Team Walking Challenge' service was added to provide the joy of walking with others. Instead of focusing solely on 'competition' by comparing individual rankings, it pursues a method of sharing a sense of achievement by reaching goals together. Teams are formed with multiple people, and cumulative steps are measured over 10 days. While teams can compete against each other, team members can also experience the satisfaction of achieving goals together. To prevent excessive competition in team matches, the number of steps is limited to 20,000 steps per person per day, reflecting this intention. Unlike simple financial technology apps where earning points through walking is the goal, this app focuses on cultivating the 'habit' of continuously checking and managing one's own condition.
The convenience services include full-fledged 'healthcare' functions beyond habit management. The 'Mind Care' service allows users to check their mental health, including stress, depression, and sleep disorders, and conduct various tests to assess postpartum depression, self-esteem, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive tendencies. Partnering with specialized companies such as CareNation and LiveOn, the app also provides desired caregiving and long-term care services. Users can check caregivers' reviews, profiles, and costs, and connect with caregivers suited to their situation. For long-term care services, customized options such as day and night care, home care, and elderly care services are offered.
As it advances into a 'healthcare' app that manages habits and health, tens of thousands of users are already turning to Anyfit Plus. According to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, the monthly active users (MAU) of Anyfit Plus last month were counted at 127,000. The daily active users (DAU) also reached 76,000. The average daily steps of users had already surpassed 8,000 steps by the end of last year, reaching 8,775 steps.
