The film was invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, which opened on the 16th (local time), and is scheduled to be screened, making it highly likely to be additionally sold at the local market. During the festival, the largest film market in Korea is held, and invited works are actively traded.

CJ ENM stated, "'Escape' attracted attention from overseas buyers even before the Cannes Film Festival began," adding, "Along with the invitation news, there was high anticipation for the film’s concept, genre, and scale, which adds mysterious elements to everyday spaces."

Park Jeong-min, head of overseas distribution at CJ ENM, said, "Buyers have seen some of the film’s footage and are confident in the quality of the work. Interest is high among buyers worldwide, not limited to any one region."

'Escape' will be unveiled through the Midnight Screening at 12:30 AM on the 21st at the Lumi?re Theater in Cannes, France. Producer and director Kim Yong-hwa, director Kim Tae-gon, and actors Lee Sun-kyun, Ju Ji-hoon, and Kim Hee-won will attend.

The film depicts the story of people trapped on an airport bridge on the verge of collapse in thick fog so dense that nothing can be seen ahead, who fight desperately to survive an unexpected series of disasters. It is scheduled to be released this year.
