The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has partnered with KT to operate an artificial intelligence (AI) coding program.
On the 16th, the Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that it signed a business agreement with KT to operate the "Middle School Students AI Coding Program" and decided to join forces to provide students with an easy and enjoyable AI coding experience.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on projects to ▲ enhance students' understanding of digital technology ▲ improve students' computing skills ▲ establish a learning support system utilizing AI.
The program will be conducted in small groups (1 mentor to 3 students), consisting of university student mentors who have completed AI coding courses and middle school students interested in artificial intelligence, providing personalized learning.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education will run the program from this month until August for 120 middle school students who wish to participate. Students will learn the AI coding program through real-time online interactive sessions with mentors and can also receive counseling related to their studies.
Hwang Yoon-kyu, Director of Educational Policy at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, said, "Through this business agreement, we hope to carry out meaningful educational activities that enhance the digital capabilities of students who will lead the future society." He added, "We will continue to expand cooperation with local communities and related organizations to provide diverse customized education for students."
