According to the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, the number of atopic dermatitis patients in Korea reached 1 million last year. The incidence by age group is 29% for ages 0-9, 15% for teenagers, and 17% for those in their 20s, showing that it steadily occurs not only in children and adolescents but also in adults.

It is a chronic disease with an unclear cause of onset that repeatedly worsens and improves. Along with the use of treatments, consistent lifestyle management and mental stress control are also necessary.

This health lecture is aimed at atopic dermatitis patients, their caregivers, and the general public. The lecture will proceed in the following order: ▲ Allergy skin test ▲ Why does atopic dermatitis occur? (Professor Choi Sun-young, Department of Dermatology, Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital) ▲ How to manage atopic dermatitis (Professor Park Gui-young, Department of Dermatology, Chung-Ang University Hospital) ▲ Q&A session.

Before the lecture, allergy skin reaction tests will be provided free of charge to the first 20 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees will receive a small souvenir after the lecture. This lecture is open to anyone without prior registration.
