"South Korea's First Paid Test Drive" Kolon Mobility Group Launches Contactless Test Drive Platform

Barogcha

Kolon Mobility Group announced on the 16th that it has launched 'Barogcha,' the nation's first paid mobile test drive and payback platform.

This service allows customers to freely experience premium cars before purchase. It lowers the barrier to entering showrooms caused by the traditionally limited test drive period of around 30 minutes and the burden of purchase. The company explains that reasonable purchase decisions are possible through contactless experiences of various car models. After the test drive, customers can receive a payback of up to 2 million KRW when purchasing a new car.

Using the Barogcha application (app), customers can make real-time vehicle reservations. Paid test drives are available for up to 5 days. Reservations can be made after completing membership registration, driver's license, and payment card registration. The service operates through contactless test drives utilizing smart keys.

The vehicle lineup includes BMW 3 and 7 Series, and Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) X3 models. Cars can be picked up from designated parking spaces located on the 1st floor of Kolon Motors Samsung showroom and the 8th floor parking area of Wirye Starfield. The responsible branches manage the test drive vehicles.

A Kolon Mobility Group representative stated, “The Barogcha platform plans to gradually expand its service vehicles and operating areas. We will develop plans to expand mobility-adjacent businesses beyond simple test drives and grow into mobility services that meet customer needs.”
