Michael Sevidic, Vice President of Motion Engineering
Autonomous driving technology company Motional announced on the 16th that it has appointed Michael Sevidic as its first executive in Asia.
The company is an autonomous driving joint venture established in 2020 by Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv. It is developing SAE Level 4 autonomous vehicles for ride-hailing services and delivery applications.
Motional plans to launch the first fully autonomous public service in Las Vegas, USA, by the end of this year. Vice President Sevidic oversees a significant portion of Motional's software and data teams, representing an important part of Motional's engineering organization.
With 15 years of experience in software engineering, Vice President Sevidic has led the autonomous vehicle industry for the past five years.
Sevidic also plays a role in strengthening cooperation between Motional and Hyundai Motor Group through communication. He stated, “The collaboration between Motional and Hyundai Motor Group is limitless. Smarter, safer, and more eco-friendly mobility is a shared goal of both companies. We will enhance communication and partnership between the two companies to focus more on our common objectives.”
