Vertical Marathon at 63 Building... Hanwha Life Secures 'Signature 63 Run'

First 1,000 Participants... Unique Awards for Records and Attire

Hanwha Life Insurance will hold a 'vertical marathon' event climbing the 63 Building, its headquarters located in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

Hanwha Life announced on the same day that registration for the '2023 Hanwha Life Signature 63 Run' event will begin on the 15th.

This event is the first vertical marathon in Korea, climbing the 63 Building, which is 249 meters tall and has 1,251 stairs. Since its inception in 2003, it has been held 18 times over 20 years, with about 10,000 participants. The all-time best records are 7 minutes 15 seconds for men and 9 minutes 14 seconds for women.

Applications for this year's event, held on the 3rd of next month, can be made from today through 'Ticketlink' on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 1,000 participants. The categories include 500 spots for the record challenge, 200 for the costume (unique outfit) category, and 300 for the crew (group) category. The participation fee is 15,000 KRW per person.

Since this event is being held for the first time in four years, Hanwha Life plans to expand both the number of participants and the scale of the venue compared to previous years, transforming it into an entertainment space to enjoy together as well as promoting health through exercise.

Additionally, starting from this event, a new crew (group) category for two or more people, such as family, friends, or couples, has been introduced. Besides category awards, various prizes will be prepared, including for the oldest and youngest finishers.
