Netflix to Produce New Series 'Hiraarki'

Actors No Jeong-ui and Lee Chae-min Among Others Appearing

Online video service (OTT) Netflix announced on the 15th that it will produce a new series titled 'Hiraeki'.


'Hiraeki' depicts the story that unfolds when a transfer student with a secret enrolls at Jushin High School, where the top 0.01% minority reigns as order and law, causing cracks in their once solid world. The series features a large cast of emerging actors including Noh Jeong-ui, Lee Chae-min, Kim Jae-won, Ji Hye-won, and Lee Won-jeong.

Jushin High School, established by the country's top conglomerate Jushin Group, is a place where children chosen from the moment they are born gather. At Jushin High School, which prides itself on being an elite private school of a different class, a story of eighteen-year-old youth's love, friendship, revenge, and compassion unfolds.


Noh Jeong-ui plays Jung Jae-i, the eldest daughter of the Jaeyul Group, a rival of Jushin Group, and the queen among queens at Jushin High School. Lee Chae-min takes on the role of Kang Ha, a transfer student at Jushin High School who hides a secret behind a bright smile.


Ji Hye-won portrays Yoon Hera, the youngest daughter of the leading trading company International Yoon and an embodiment of jealousy, while Lee Won-jeong plays Lee Woo-jin, the second son of a family known for producing politicians.


The series is directed by Bae Hyun-jin, who co-directed dramas such as 'Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow', 'Big Mouth', and 'Start-Up', and written by Chu Hye-mi, the writer of 'The Moment Stopping Time: About Time'. It is produced by Studio Dragon.
