On the 11th, Gumi City held a small concert at the Gumi Senior Welfare Center to celebrate Family Month, organized by the Gumi Saemaeul Women's Choir (Director Lee Doo-hee).
This small concert was planned to bring hope and joy to the elderly and provide opportunities to enjoy culture. It featured a variety of performances including the Gumi Saemaeul Women's Choir's choral singing, familiar children's songs and popular song medley with ocarina performance, and a special soprano performance by Lee A-ron.
Lee Doo-hee, director of the Saemaeul Women's Choir, said, "I hope today's concert was an enjoyable time for the elderly," and added, "We will continue to serve through musical performances and strive even more for the cultural development of the local community."
Kim Hyun-joo, head of the Saemaeul Division, encouraged the members who worked hard for the small concert, saying, "I hope this musical gift brought vitality to the daily lives of the elderly and healing to their hearts."
Since its founding in 1991, the Gumi Saemaeul Women's Choir has greatly contributed to the spread of arts and cultural activities in Gumi through winning various choral competitions, volunteer activities, and concerts over the past 32 years. Any women in Gumi City interested in choral singing can participate.
