Japanese Teacher Dismissed for Having Sexual Relations with High School Girl at 'Nangyo Party'

Sexual Relations with a Student at Accommodation Facility Entered After Paying Participation Fee

A male teacher was dismissed after participating in an orgy party in Japan and having sexual relations with a high school girl.

According to Japanese media including the Yomiuri Shimbun on the 13th, a 27-year-old male teacher, Mr. A, working at Aichi Prefectural Tenpaku High School, paid 50,000 yen (about 490,000 KRW) to attend an orgy party held at a lodging facility in Nagoya city last August, where he had sexual relations with a 17-year-old high school girl. In response, the Aichi Prefectural Board of Education issued a disciplinary dismissal.

It was revealed that since 2020, Mr. A secretly joined orgy party groups through SNS as a member and paid the organizers 40,000 to 50,000 yen (390,000 to 490,000 KRW) each time to participate.

Mr. A reportedly said, "After the COVID-19 pandemic, work-related worries and stress increased, so I needed an outlet." He also apologized, saying, "I did not know she was a minor. I cannot forgive myself for causing trouble."

Mr. A was arrested on January 31 on charges of violating the Child Prostitution and Child Pornography Prohibition Act but was not prosecuted by the Kyoto District Public Prosecutors Office on March 20.

The Aichi Prefectural Board of Education held a press conference on the morning of the 10th to announce Mr. A’s disciplinary dismissal and offered a deep apology.

In Japan last year, a 46-year-old Japanese man who arranged an orgy party with high school girls was also arrested on charges of violating the Child Prostitution and Child Pornography Prohibition Act. He was accused of introducing a 17-year-old high school girl as a prostitute to four men aged 38 to 59.

This broker led a group for orgies and recruited participants via social media (SNS). He regularly held orgy parties mainly at hotels in Kyoto city, with about 100 male customers registered. The high school girls received tens of thousands of yen (several hundred thousand KRW) as compensation.
