According to Yonhap News on the day, former President Moon and First Lady Kim watched 'This is Moon Jae-in' at a multiplex cinema in Yangsan City near Pyeongsan Village, where their residence is located, around 1 p.m. on that day. It was reported that there were not many viewers since it was a weekday daytime screening.

One audience member said, "I never expected former President Moon to come to watch the movie," adding, "When some viewers tried to take selfies, former President Moon even posed for them."

The documentary film 'This is Moon Jae-in' was released on the 10th.

The film focuses on former President Moon's daily life after returning to Pyeongsan Village in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, following his retirement in May last year. It follows a chronological order from spring to autumn when former President Moon arrived at Pyeongsan Village.

Director Lee Chang-jae, who directed both the documentary about former President Roh Moo-hyun titled 'This is Roh Moo-hyun' and this film 'This is Moon Jae-in,' stated at the screening on the 2nd, "Until this time today, former President Moon has not watched the film."

It is known that Director Lee offered to provide an edited version in advance, but former President Moon's side declined.

Director Lee said, "I cautiously asked because if he asked to remove a scene after watching it, I would have to re-edit the film, but his official response was, 'I will pay to watch it once it is released.'"

Daughter Dahye also 'Confirms Watching the Film'

Former President Moon's daughter, Dahye, posted a photo confirming her viewing of the film on social media on the 3rd, saying, "Every scene featuring my father is a healing point," and "Every moment featuring (former President Moon's pets) Maru, Jjingjjing, Tori, Gomi, Songgang, and Daun is a killing point."

In response to comments such as "There was controversy about the production company, and no one should unfairly profit by using the former president," Dahye replied, "I would appreciate it if you could judge after watching the film," and "My father sincerely hopes the film does well."
