The Korea Credit Card Association has appointed Professor Seo Ji-yong of the Department of Business Administration at Sangmyung University as its 11th president.
The Korea Credit Card Association announced on the 12th that it held its regular general meeting on the 11th at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul, and approved the reappointment of the current president, Professor Seo.
President Seo is currently serving as an ombudsman at the Financial Supervisory Service and as a member of the Review Committee of the Credit Finance Association.
He stated, "As competition in the mobile simple payment market has intensified recently, it is time for domestic credit card companies to adopt new management strategies," adding, "The association will continue to develop as the leading academic society that proposes solutions to management issues in the credit card industry based on theoretical and logical development."
