Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held a final report meeting on the establishment of a safety and health management system on the 10th at the 2nd floor, 1st conference room of Yeongdeok-gun Office, attended by County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol and senior officials.

The safety and health management system establishment project promoted this time has been underway since February to prepare management measures necessary for establishing and fulfilling obligations of the safety and health management system required by the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
The main contents include evaluating the current level of safety and health management, identifying hazardous and risky factors, and establishing a safety and health management system centered on the seven core elements: ▲management leadership ▲worker participation ▲hazard identification ▲hazard elimination ▲emergency action plan establishment ▲ensuring safety and health during subcontracting, outsourcing, and consignment ▲regular evaluation and improvement, as well as preparing manuals.
In addition, safety inspections were conducted on public facilities classified as serious civic disasters, including demands for measures against risk factors and the establishment of overall work procedures for improvements, enabling a continuous management system for safety.
Governor Kim Gwang-yeol said, “Based on the results of this project, we will do our best to establish a highly complete safety and health management system so that Yeongdeok-gun becomes a safe place without serious accidents for both workers and residents.”
