Ms. A and her group called office worker Mr. B and threatened him by saying, "Your daughter is being held captive because she did not repay the money," and "If you do not repay the money, we will take and distribute nude photos of your daughter."

When Mr. B hurriedly left work after receiving the threatening call, his colleague Mr. C found it suspicious and reported it to the police.

The police responded to Mr. C's report, confirmed that Mr. B's daughter was safe, and informed Mr. B that the call was a voice phishing scam.

While Mr. B was on the phone with the voice phishing organization members, he communicated with the police through notes and signals, carrying out a plan to lure the cash collector.

When Ms. A requested a photo of the withdrawal of 20 million won from Mr. B, the police added 10 million won of their own money and sent a photo of the cash bundles.

After confirming the photo, Ms. A arrived at Sejong City Hall, where she was supposed to receive the money, collected the cash, and left. Police officers who were lying in wait nearby arrested her.

During the investigation, the police discovered that Ms. A and her group had committed similar crimes last month and this month, and they plan to continue the remaining investigation.
