Silla University Department of Aviation Service Holds Freshman Wing Award Ceremony

The Department of Aviation Service at Silla University held a wing badge awarding ceremony for freshmen aspiring to become flight attendants.


The wing badge awarding ceremony, held on the 11th at the Seminar Room of the Biomedical Science Building 2 at Silla University, is an event where seniors pin wing badges on freshmen who dream of becoming flight attendants to remind them of the mindset and attitude required of prospective flight attendants and to strengthen their determination.


This event proceeded with the 2023 freshmen oath-taking ceremony followed by the wing badge awarding, and in preparation for the upcoming Coming-of-Age Day, seniors also presented bouquets to the freshmen.

Son Yujin, a student of the Department of Aviation Service at Silla University who received the wing badge, said, “This wing badge awarding ceremony made me realize that I need to work even harder to achieve my long-held dream of becoming a flight attendant since high school,” and added, “I will strive to become a competitive flight attendant on the global stage.”


Jung Heekyung, head of the Department of Aviation Service, said, “I hope that by working together with reliable seniors, there will be a synergistic effect that allows mutual growth, and the faculty will actively support the students in achieving their dreams.”


The Department of Aviation Service at Silla University actively participates in local promotional activities and external events such as assisting with placards at the Gimhae Citizens Sports Festival and helping with the parade at the Gijang Anchovy Festival to enhance students’ capabilities.


Additionally, through industry-academia cooperation by signing MOUs with domestic and international airlines such as Air Busan, T’way Air, and Air Premia, the department is striving to cultivate global aviation service professionals.
