"Cheon Ha-ram, who predicted 'Kim Nam-guk Standing Committee Coin'... 'Expulsion from the Assembly also under consideration'"

Amid the controversy surrounding billions worth of coins involving Kim Nam-guk, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, reports have emerged that he traded coins during committee activities, causing a stir. Cheon Ha-ram, former head of the People Power Party's Suncheon Gap branch in Jeonnam, who had predicted that Kim would have traded coins even during committee activities, analyzed that "this is an issue that could warrant expulsion from the National Assembly."

On the 12th, Cheon said on YTN's "News King Park Ji-hoon" program, "In Kim's case, the scale of investment was enormous, so I assumed it would have been difficult for him to focus on his main duties. This is not just a guess; actual transaction records show that he traded during committee meetings, which is a very serious problem."

On the 10th, Cheon said on MBC Radio, "I now somewhat understand the previous 'aunt controversy,'" adding, "it leads to a decline in diligence toward one's duties and results in controversies like the 'aunt issue.'" He proposed the theory that Kim's past confusion of 'Professor Lee Mo (某)' as 'aunt' stemmed from decreased focus on his duties due to coin trading. This theory was confirmed as subsequent reports revealed evidence that Kim indeed traded coins during committee sessions.

Cheon stated, "Since the coin wallet has effectively been identified and transaction records show trades during committee hours, it seems increasingly clear that he did not fulfill his duties as a member of the National Assembly," adding, "when trading coins in large amounts, it is not easy to maintain daily life. I have seen people around me become overly immersed because it is a 24-hour activity." However, Kim's coin wallet has not yet been definitively identified; the information is based on inferred transaction records.

Cheon also suggested that Kim could face not only political responsibility but also expulsion from the Assembly. He said, "It seems that Kim is entering a phase where he must take political responsibility such as leaving the party. Whether it will lead to expulsion depends somewhat on investigation results and further factual verification. If any connections with companies, insider information, sponsorship of coins, or conflicts of interest are revealed, then expulsion from the Assembly could be considered."
