On the 12th, Sejong City announced that the region's first tourist hotel, the 'Courtyard by Marriott Hotel,' has begun operations.
The hotel opened in Eojin-dong with 20 floors above ground and 3 basement levels. Key facilities include 281 guest rooms, a restaurant, meeting rooms, a fitness center, lounges, and a coffee shop.
Sejong City expects the opening of the tourist hotel to revitalize the local tourism industry and contribute to the successful hosting of the International Garden Expo (2025) and the Summer World University Games (2027).
Following the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Sejong, the Ragobaum Hotel is scheduled to open in July, and the Shilla Stay Hotel is set to open later this year.
Choi Min-ho, Mayor of Sejong City, said, “With tourist hotels opening one after another, we expect to stimulate demand for extended-stay tourism and accelerate the development of related product packages.”
