Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Ilhyung Lee Inspects Flower City Project

On the 11th, visited the Companion Plant Clinic Center… Learned effective plant care methods after inspecting the facility

Participated in garden maintenance activities with participants of the ‘Dongdaemun Gardener Training Course’ at Jangan Neighborhood Park

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, visited the Companion Plant Clinic Center (17 Cheonho-daero 65-gil) on the 11th and then went to Jangan Neighborhood Park to spend time gardening together with trainees of the ‘Dongdaemun Gardener Training Course.’

The ‘Companion Plant Clinic Center’ began operations last month to assist residents having difficulties managing their plants. On the morning of the 11th at 10 a.m., Mayor Lee Pil-hyung visited the ‘Companion Plant Clinic Center,’ inspected the facility, and learned effective plant care methods together with residents who visited the center.

Afterwards, the mayor visited Jangan Neighborhood Park, the practical training site for the ‘Dongdaemun Gardener Training Course,’ which is being promoted as part of the Flower City creation project. There, he participated in gardening activities with the trainees, such as planting flowers and trees and watering them, while reviewing the project.

Mayor Lee Pil-hyung of Dongdaemun-gu said, “The ‘Dongdaemun Gardener’ project is very meaningful as it cultivates the Flower City Dongdaemun-gu together with residents. I am grateful to those who voluntarily participate in gardener activities like this,” and encouraged the use of the ‘Companion Plant Clinic Center’ by saying, “I hope the ‘gardeners’ in each household raising companion plants actively utilize the ‘Companion Plant Clinic Center’ to grow their companion plants healthily.”

The ‘Dongdaemun-gu Companion Plant Clinic Center’ is located in the Dapsimni Youth Reading Room building and is available to all Seoul citizens by making a reservation in advance through the Seoul Public Service Reservation System.
