‘Jeondo Fire Safety Instructor Competition’ Seo Hyun-joo Fire Lieutenant Best Award

Seo Hyun-ju, Fire Lieutenant at Jeju Western Fire Station, won the Grand Prize at the ‘Jeju Province Fire Safety Instructor Competition’.

The Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters (Chief Kim Su-hwan) announced on the 11th that it recently held the ‘2023 Jeju Province Fire Safety Instructor Competition’ at the Jeju Safety Experience Center.

The Fire Safety Instructor Competition is an event designed to share diverse and excellent teaching methods among fire safety instructors responsible for disaster safety education and to further improve the quality of education.

This year, under the theme of ‘Adult Fire Safety,’ four fire safety instructors representing each fire station competed in a heated contest.

Fire Lieutenant Seo Hyun-ju delivered an outstanding speech centered on the role of adult safety leaders and the importance of social responsibility, titled ‘Fire Safety Compass: Respond Calmly to Save Yourself and Others,’ earning the Grand Prize. The Excellence Award was given to Fire Sergeant Yang Jun-hwan of Jeju Fire Station.

Seo Hyun-ju, the Grand Prize winner, will represent Jeju at the 9th National Fire Safety Instructor Competition to be held in July.

Go Jae-woo, Director of Prevention and Response, stated, “Through the Fire Safety Instructor Competition, we will support the cultivation of excellent and substantial safety education capabilities, actively discover various fire safety education items, and make greater efforts to spread fire safety culture.”
