On the 11th, Chungnam Province announced that Governor Kim Tae-heum of Chungnam, Choi Jae-gu, Mayor of Yesan-gun, and CEO Baek Jong-won gathered to sign a “Business Agreement for Attracting a Venture Campus to Foster the Green Bio Industry Ecosystem.”

The agreement was signed with the main purpose of uniting efforts among the province, Yesan-gun, and The Born Korea to promote projects related to fostering the green bio industry ecosystem, supporting green bio venture startups, jointly hosting international conferences, seminars, and academic meetings, and cooperating on the Yesan Neulhaerang Project.

CEO Baek Jong-won previously contributed to revitalizing the Yesan Market through the Yesan-type old downtown area coexistence project.

He plans to support the design of a roadmap linking business commercialization, investment attraction, and listing to foster related industries, such as attracting the Green Bio Venture Campus led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to Yesan.

In particular, CEO Baek Jong-won also signed a letter of intent to prioritize purchasing products from companies residing in the Green Bio Venture Campus when procuring goods.

Governor Kim Tae-heum said, “Chungnam will strive to create a new leading model for domestic agriculture through a triangular system of smart farms, green bio industry, and sixth industry complexes,” adding, “The Green Bio Venture Campus will serve as a base institution that systematically supports product development, verification, and marketing of green bio companies, and the support from CEO Baek Jong-won and The Born Korea is expected to be a great help.”

CEO Baek Jong-won responded, “The green bio business is an alternative for future food sources,” and said, “The Born Korea will actively support research, development, and manufacturing projects of local food as a cooperative partner in Chungnam’s green bio business.”
