Imsil-gun Successfully Concludes Pet Culture Festival 'ImsilN Pet Star'

Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 10th that the 2023 Imsil N Pet Star, a companion animal cultural festival held alongside the 38th Uigyeon Cultural Festival, was successfully concluded over three days from the 5th to the 7th.

Under the subtitle of respecting the lives of companion animals, the 2023 Imsil N Pet Star attracted around 30,000 tourists, gaining great popularity among pet families.

In particular, the companion animal talk show featuring dog trainer Kang Hyeong-wook, known as the "Dog President," veterinarian Seol Chae-hyun, and Professor Lee Woong-jong from Yeonam University addressed pet behavior correction and resolved various questions, drawing about 700 visitors and demonstrating its popularity.

At the opening ceremony, a righteous companion animal award ceremony was held for the rescue dogs "Tina, Tobaek, Tori, and Haetae" and the Chungcheong-Gangwon 119 Special Rescue Team and Yeongnam 119 Special Rescue Team who participated in rescue operations during the T?rkiye-Syria earthquake. Comedian and film director Park Seong-gwang was also awarded an honorary citizen certificate.

Following the opening ceremony, exciting performances by Hong Jin-young, Sweet Sorrow, VOS, Park Sang-min, Kang Hye-yeon, and Park Jin-do engaged about 1,000 tourists, brilliantly decorating the Uigyeon Cultural Festival.

At the companion animal fashion show, pets and their families harmonized to showcase fresh ideas and unique, stylish appearances, with celebrities Lee Jeong-gyu, Kim Kyung-jin, and the couple Jeon Soo-min appearing as guests.

Additionally, on the second day, the 11th Choi Gap-seok Song Festival featured 12 teams who passed the preliminaries performing on stage, demonstrating solid skills. Invited singers included Kim Hee-jae, Jo Myung-seop, Jung Jeong-ah, Lady T, and Jang Young-woo.

Moreover, a companion animal industry expo offering various pet products and numerous companion animal experience events were held, providing abundant events and great memories for tourists visiting with their pets.

County Governor Shim Min said, "Although there were many difficulties due to heavy rain during the festival period, I sincerely thank the many residents and tourists who visited," adding, "We will strive to make Imsil N Pet Star an even richer and more special companion animal cultural festival in the future."
