Utilizing Sanghwabeop from Eumsikdimibang
Accelerating Development of Region-Specific Bread
Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, and SPC Samlip (CEO Haeman Park) signed a "Business Agreement for the Development and Commercialization of Single Items Using the Eumsikdimibang Sanghwabeop" on the 10th at the Yeongyang-gun Office small conference room.
Yeongyang-gun has completed the reproduction and restoration of Eumsikdimibang, the first Korean-language cookbook from about 350 years ago. This agreement was established to promote the popularization of Eumsikdimibang in collaboration with SPC Samlip, a leading domestic comprehensive food company, for product development using the "Sanghwabeop (霜花法)" among the 88 reproduced and restored menus.
SPC Samlip is a company with professional research capabilities and technology in the food and manufacturing industries, especially excelling in the bakery sector, successfully selling various products annually such as Samlip Hoppang, Pokemon Bread, and Full Moon Bread.
Through this agreement, both organizations agreed to cooperate in various fields such as technical support necessary for technology development and commercialization, marketing, and sales support, aiming to develop products that maximize taste and nutritional value by utilizing SPC Samlip's advanced technology and the Sanghwabeop recipe from Eumsikdimibang.
Governor Dochang Oh said, "If we cooperate through today's inter-agency business agreement, we expect to enhance the brand value of Eumsikdimibang through differentiated food development and establish it as Yeongyang's representative food tourism item."
