Kakao Collaborates with Amorepacific on Advertising and Commerce

Kakao announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with Amorepacific for mutual growth.


On the same day, the two companies held a signing ceremony at Amorepacific's headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The ceremony was attended by Hong Eun-taek, CEO of Kakao, Kim Seung-hwan, CEO of Amorepacific, and other officials. At the event, both parties agreed to closely collaborate on joint projects in the advertising and commerce sectors.

In the advertising sector, they will cooperate to create synergy between online platforms and brands. Kakao will support Amorepacific in conducting effective brand marketing by utilizing Kakao's various online services and advertising data, such as KakaoTalk and Daum. The goal is to strengthen service and brand awareness and improve advertising marketing efficiency.


They also promised multifaceted cooperation in the commerce sector. They will collaborate in various ways, including participation in new businesses within Kakao commerce platforms such as KakaoTalk Gift, Shopping, and Kakao Shopping Live, planning collaborative products, and operating promotions. Customers are expected to experience exclusive products and specialized promotions from Amorepacific on Kakao commerce platforms.


Hong Eun-taek, CEO of Kakao, said, “Based on cooperation with Amorepacific, we plan to actively discover business models for mutual growth of both companies,” adding, “We will strive to create exemplary cases where online platforms and brands can mutually benefit.”
