Anyone from the local community, including Jinju citizens, can participate in the Jinju Namgang Walking Festival free of charge by registering online in advance (3,000 participants) or on-site on the day of the event (200 participants).
Online pre-registration can be done by applying through the BNK Gyeongnam Bank website or by scanning the QR code printed on the poster until 6 PM on the 19th.
On-site registration will be accepted from 8 AM, one hour before the event starts, on June 3rd.
Participants who register online or on-site will walk a total distance of 6.4 km, starting from the outdoor stage at Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center, passing through Cheonsugyo Bridge, Jinju Fortress, Jinyanggyo Bridge, and other locations.
All participants will receive an eco bag and sports socks as souvenirs.
There will be a raffle with generous prizes such as UHD TVs, kimchi refrigerators, drum washing machines, stylers, StanbyMe TVs, air purifiers, bicycles, and more.
Additionally, various experience booths will be operated, including Life Two-Cut photo booths, pinwheel making, balloon clowns, cotton candy, and face painting.
Kim Jonghak, team leader of the Social Contribution and Public Relations Department, said, “As the Jinju Namgang Walking Festival, which was not held due to COVID-19, is being held again after more than three years, we hope many local residents will participate. Various events and side activities will be prepared on the day of the Jinju Namgang Walking Festival to add more fun.”
Meanwhile, BNK Gyeongnam Bank will operate a ‘Water Pack Distribution and Collection Booth’ and a ‘Plastic Reduction Campaign Booth’ on the day of the Jinju Namgang Walking Festival to practice ESG management.
At the Water Pack Distribution and Collection Booth, participants who return two empty water packs will receive bamboo tissue paper as a gift.
