The poster, Mr. A, explained, "The person who received the congratulatory money is an employee," and added, "This employee worked with me as a staff member for just over a month before I took over the store, and then we signed a new labor contract."
He continued, "After that, the employee took about 1 to 2 days off on average to prepare for the wedding. Isn't a wedding an important event?" He added, "We covered by finding substitutes or having other employees work more, but complaints arose, so by mutual agreement, the employee quit."
Mr. A said, "I gave the employee an extra month's salary for the last month, and we parted on good terms. After that, contact became scarce, and I almost forgot until I received a mobile wedding invitation," adding, "I felt sorry and grateful, so I gave 300,000 won as congratulatory money."
However, Mr. A said, "There has been no reply or contact until now," and "It feels bitter."
Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as "Think of it as filtering people out with 300,000 won," "There was no need to give congratulatory money in the first place," and "Maybe they are still busy with their honeymoon and not in the right frame of mind yet."
