[Concall] Jo Gye-hyun "Metabora to onboard 4-5 types of content within the year"

Kakao Games announced on the 3rd that it plans to onboard 4 to 5 game and non-game contents to its blockchain 'Bora' within this year.

Jo Gye-hyun, CEO of Kakao Games, said during the Q1 earnings conference call, "Since the Bora platform is a Layer 2 solution specialized for content, we aim to grow the Bora ecosystem and build platform fee revenue by onboarding game and non-game contents," adding, "We are currently building multi-chain support with Polygon and Near Protocol."

He also added, "We have prepared an onboarding toolkit that improves the inconvenient UX of blockchain infrastructure and enhances convenience in authentication, transactions, and payments."

He stated, "Currently, projects underway in collaboration with Neptune include 'Bora Battle,' a golf-based community fan service by Kakao VX, puzzle games based on entertainment celebrities' IPs, and social casino games, all targeting release within this year."

CEO Jo said, "What we are especially looking forward to is 'Bora Battle.' It is an arcade-style game where players worldwide compete in card, puzzle, sports, and racing games," adding, "The official release is targeted within the third quarter."
