Jeongeup City’s Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village School operates once or twice a year and has produced 16 graduating classes to date, with a total of 480 returnees, becoming a cradle for return-to-farming and return-to-village individuals.
Applications for the education program will be accepted from the 3rd to the 17th until 6 p.m. nationwide. Eligible participants are prospective or current returnees aged 65 or younger, or those who have returned to farming within the last five years. The tuition fee is 200,000 KRW, which is self-funded.
The education period will run from the 7th to the 21st of next month, conducted as a residential program on weekdays and Saturdays (excluding Sundays).
Participants will receive comprehensive agricultural education through various programs, including guidance on return-to-farming and return-to-village policies, crop cultivation and processing, agricultural machinery training, and presentations of return-to-farming and return-to-village cases.
Those who complete all courses will be issued a certificate of completion (recognizing 100 hours).
The Jeongeup City Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Support Center plans to contribute to the stable settlement of urban residents wishing to return to farming and rural areas by providing understanding of Jeongeup City and counseling and information on various support projects. It will also seek alternatives to revitalize rural areas by spreading positive awareness of the new value and growth potential of agriculture and rural communities.
