Gwangju and Northern Jeonnam Hometown Love Win-Win Competition Held

Four local governments, including Buk-gu and Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Damyang and Jangseong counties in Jeollanam-do, are joining forces to revitalize the Hometown Love Donation Program.

According to Buk-gu on the 27th, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Northern Region Win-Win Development Council will host the "Hometown Love Donation Program Revitalization Win-Win Conference," organized by Buk-gu, at the Buk-gu Cultural Center on the 28th.

This event was prepared to promote mutual cooperation and joint response among the four local governments belonging to the Gwangju-Jeonnam Northern Region Win-Win Development Council, aiming to revitalize and successfully establish the Hometown Love Donation Program through mutual promotion of return gifts and encouragement of participation.

About 300 residents from each local government are expected to attend the win-win conference, which will begin with lively pre-event performances such as Nongak (traditional Korean farmer's music) and fan dance, followed by the screening of a promotional video for the Hometown Love Donation Program, a win-win performance, and congratulatory performances.

Additionally, as a side event, on-site booths will be operated to exhibit and promote the return gifts of the Hometown Love Donation Program from each local government.

Moon In, the mayor of Buk-gu, said, "The Hometown Love Donation Program is a local love movement that responds to the era of Autonomy 2.0, including national balanced development, response to the crisis of regional extinction, and revitalization of the local economy," adding, "We will continue exchanges and cooperation for the win-win development of the Hometown Love Donation Program in the northern region of Gwangju and Jeonnam."
