Korea Productivity Center was established in 1957 to enhance productivity in the industrial sector. It is known as the first consulting firm and the top industrial education institution in Korea. This organization, which introduced the concept of 'management' to domestic companies, has been researching and consulting on ESG for the past 15 years in Korea, where ESG was previously an undeveloped field.
ECR is a product jointly developed by Korea Productivity Center and Daeryuk Aju that diagnoses the ESG level for overseas sales and compliance of domestic companies and provides consulting to enhance ESG capabilities. This reflects concerns from Korean companies that the current level of ESG consulting in Korea is insufficient to meet the requirements of countries and companies, as issues such as the unification of ‘ESG disclosure standards’ and ‘supply chain due diligence’ are emerging in the United States and the European Union (EU).
Both organizations plan to develop world-class ECR products and provide differentiated consulting services tailored to the compliance requirements by country, industry, and company for domestic companies seeking to enter overseas markets. Through this, when domestic companies submit the final ECR report while supplying products to foreign companies, it is expected to prove that their ESG level meets the requirements of foreign companies or institutions.
Daeryuk Aju and Korea Productivity Center will jointly develop the ECR product and conduct related marketing and business activities while sharing information and data held by each institution to mutually enhance work performance.
At the signing ceremony held at Daeryuk Aju’s main conference room in Donghoon Building, Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Daeryuk Aju was represented by CEO Attorney Lee Gyu-cheol, Attorney Cha Dong-eon, Attorney Kim Dong-joo, and Attorney Lee Sang-bong. Korea Productivity Center was represented by Chairman Ahn Wan-gi, Director Baek Sang-min, and Consultant Pyo Kyung-gyu.
CEO Attorney Lee said, "As ESG-related policies around the world continue to evolve and expand, we will collaborate with Korea Productivity Center, which has accumulated extensive experience and excellent capabilities in this field, to develop various global-level products."
Chairman Ahn expressed his thoughts, saying, "I believe that Korea Productivity Center, which has strengths in observing current phenomena and predicting future occurrences, and Daeryuk Aju, which excels in responding to disputes or issues, will play a significant role in the ESG field through this cooperation."
