The Women's and Youth Division of the Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 26th that they conducted an inspection for illegal hidden cameras at Chosun University.
Using electromagnetic wave and infrared detectors, they checked for the installation of illegal hidden cameras in areas such as the shower rooms and restrooms inside the student union building.
For faculty and students, they distributed leaflets on punishment and reporting procedures for sexual violence, stalking, and dating violence, while also conducting promotional activities to raise awareness about crimes against women.
A police official stated, "To ensure a safe university life, we will collaborate with the school to regularly inspect for illegal hidden cameras and actively promote sexual violence prevention activities."
