A man in his 40s in Peru was arrested after secretly entering a girls' school bathroom wearing a school uniform.

According to foreign media including 'El Tiempo Latino' on the 24th (local time), Peruvian police arrested 42-year-old Solis Callerola, who disguised himself as a girl and infiltrated a girls' school in Huancayo on the 20th.

Callerola was reportedly caught by the vice principal while wandering around the school cafeteria and bathroom.

At the time of his arrest, he had his hair braided in pigtails like a female student and wore a pink cardigan over a skirt uniform. He was also wearing black half stockings and shoes.

Callerola covered his face with a pink hat and mask, and a police official said, "From a distance, the disguise was so perfect that he could be mistaken for a female student."

Initially, the police suspected that Callerola had infiltrated the school to commit crimes such as sexual harassment and illegal filming targeting female students. However, no evidence supporting these charges was found. He was eventually released after 48 hours when his detention period expired.

During the police investigation, Callerola said, "I did nothing wrong" and "I just wanted to take pictures inside the school."

He also said, "I only infiltrated because I wanted to post photos as a student on TikTok, and since I did nothing wrong, I do not regret this action."

It is reported that this is not the first time Callerola disguised himself as a female student and trespassed into a girls' school. Foreign media reported that another girls' school uniform was found at his home. Some have claimed that he is a member of the LGBTQ community.

Meanwhile, parents have expressed anxiety over Callerola's release and are demanding a thorough investigation into why he infiltrated the school dressed as a girl.
